Lamar Kauffman is best known for being Head Coach of Lancaster Catholic HS’s Girls Basketball Team for 32 years. During that time, he compiled 764 wins, 11 Lancaster-Lebanon League Championships, 12 District 3 titles and two PA State Championships … a phenomenal record.
Earlier in life, Kauffman graduated from Columbia HS where he earned a total of 8 letters in football, basketball and track with all three sports winning multiple championships.
After playing three years of football at Millersville State College, Kauffman began his coaching career, first as an assistant coach for the boys’ basketball team at Columbia and then ten seasons as the boys’ basketball coach at Manheim Central HS.
