Lancaster Stars Win; Township's Johnson Is Player of Year

Lancaster County All-Stars beat their Lebanon and Berks counties counterparts 35-0 in the 22nd annual Tri County All-Star Football Game, and Manheim Township and Wyomissing athletes earned top honors from the Manheim Touchdown Club, sponsor of the event.

Manheim Central players dominated on their home turf, Elden Rettew Stadium. Bode Sipel, Zac Hahn, Drew Greiner and Brycen Armold accounted for 23 of the 35 points scored. 

Manheim Township quarterback Hayden Johnson (pictured) added to his accolades by receiving the player of the year award. His next stop is Lehigh University. Runners-up were Hahn and Manheim Central wide receiver Aaron Enterline.

Wyomissing lineman Caleb Brewer was named lineman of the year. Runners-up were Twin Valley's Ean Winchester and Manheim Township's Eli Rodriguez.

Billed as The Best of the Best One Last Time and All the Seniors You've Wanted to See and in One Final Game, the game was contested between the top players from Lancaster County vs. the all-stars from Lebanon and Berks counties.

The Lancaster team was coached by Bryan Strohl of Cocalico, while the Lebanon-Berks team is coached by Hamburg's Matthew Hoffert. See coaches' bios below.
