Mitchell Swarr (left) and Charlie Creighton, both seniors, lead a “good mix of older and younger” Lampeter-Strasburg wrestlers into the ’25-’26 season. Both agree the strength of the team will be in the mid- to heavyweight classes.
For both Mitchell and Charlie, the Elizabethtown team is the Section 2 favorite, though Conestoga Valley or Donegal may
make a surprise showing, but “Do not county out L-S!” they say. Mitchell and Charlie agree L-S is evenly matched against E-town, and the two squads are very familiar with each other.
Mitchell wrestles in the 172 pound class. He has set his goal to qualify for the District Tournament. As a 3-sport athlete -- football (captain, fullback and linebacker), wrestling and lacrosse -- Mitchell trains at the Stellar Fitness Club.
In school, he is in the National Honor Society and Student Council. After graduation he plans to enlist in the US Army.
Charlie has set his wrestling goals to be league champion and a state qualifier. He says he started training for this year “the day after last wrestling season!” Part of his training for this season’s wrestling included both Freestyle and Greco Roman Wrestling at the Lancaster Alliance of Wrestlers. Charlie plays rugby in the off-season for the Elizabethtown High School team.
In extracurricular activities, Charlie plays tuba in the L-S concert band, is a member of the National Honor Society and belongs to the Boy Scouts. He also plays the piano and enjoys snowboarding.
He plans to study mechanical engineering at Liberty University.
