J. Freeland Chryst Award
Joe Geesey is recognized for his officiating both PIAA and NCAA wrestling (1959-2012). He officiated in excess of 1,000 matches including PIAA and NCAA championships. He previously was inducted into the following Halls of Fame: National Wrestling – PA Chapter; PA Wrestling Coaches HoF; Eastern Wrestling (college); PA Sports HoF; Susquehanna Valley Chapter EIWOA Wrestling Officials; PIAA District 3 HoF and Lancaster-Lebanon League HoF.
Geesey was a graduate of Columbia HS and was on the first 1954 CHS wrestling team. He also is a graduate of Millersville University and he was a varsity wrestler (1954-1956).
