Kris Wilson was an All-American tight end at the University of Pittsburgh and spent eight seasons in the NFL.
A 1999 graduate of McCaskey High School, he was a first team Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star at linebacker and tight end. He received a full scholarship to Pitt. As a senior, he caught 44 passes and led all NCAA Division 1-A tight ends with 9 receiving touchdowns. He was a finalist for the John Mackey Award, given to the nation’s most outstanding tight end and was third team All-America.
Wilson was drafted in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. He started in 23 of the 49 games he played with the Chiefs (2004-07). He was mainly used in multiple tight end formations with Tony Gonzalez and Jason Dunn. He was also used as a fullback, blocking for Larry Johnson and Priest Holmes. With the Chiefs, Wilson caught 42 passes for 345 yards and four touchdowns.
Wilson also was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, San Diego Chargers and Baltimore Ravens. In his NFL career, Wilson had 55 receptions for 446 yards and 5 touchdowns. In 2011, Wilson caught a TD pass in the Ravens’ playoff win over Houston.
Wilson graduated from Pitt with an economics degree. In 2015, he received a degree from the UCLA School of Law, with a focus on entertainment law. He stayed on campus and earned a Master of Fine Arts while studying production and direction at the UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television. He now works for NFL Films and owns Live Picture Studios of Philadelphia.
