Ed Flick was a member of the McCaskey football team that won the Central Penn championship at 1957.

He spent 33 years as a basketball official and was the referee for the game that saw Wally Walker break Chip Beaston’s scoring record. He worked the 1991 District Three AAAA title game between Reading and Harrisburg at a sold-out Hersheypark Arena. In 1981, he won the Scott Spangenburg Award and in 1994, won the H. Grant “Tick’’ Hurst Memorial Award for officiating.
